Our Reading based client is seeking for an efficient and dedicated order picker to work an 7am-5pm shift. Ideally they would like candidates with a counterbalance fork lift licence, but they will consider training keen applicants with yard/warehouse experience. The main activity of this role will be to accurately pick orders for despatch either on our own vehicles, by carrier or for collection by Trade Counter customers.
The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate ultimate customer service with a passion for organisation and tidiness. A small amount of driving delivering to our customers may well be required from time to time. Picking orders includes collating and packing items ordered by customers from our warehouse and yard, then loading vehicles in delivery order to enable easy off-loading at destinations.
Vehicles are loaded during the afternoon to enable a prompt start for the delivery drivers the next morning. Accuracy in order picking is essential to maintain customer satisfaction and company efficiency. This role will mainly be outside, although warehouse work will be included.

RequirementsStrong team player prepared to go the extra mile Physically fit & healthy – this is a manual job often lifting heavy items Counterbalance forklift licence advantageous Positive helpful attitude Good communication skills Knowledge of building products an advantage Neat & tidy disposition is a must Clean UK Driving Licence
Monday-Friday 07.00-17.00 – additional time at the end of the day may be necessary during busy periods
