Role Overview:
To deliver, design and co-ordinate effective and efficient internal training for staff at IDG Direct, with strong organisational and administrative skills and with the ability to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment. The Training Co-ordinator will work across both the US and International divisions and alongside the HR Team.

Role responsibilities:
To develop and deliver an effective on-boarding and new starter induction training programme in liaison with HR and Team Leaders.

To assess training needs for new employees following completion of on-boarding/induction with Team Leaders and that of existing employees to assist with Employee Development and Performance Management.

To organise, develop and assist with sourcing training programs in liaison with HR to meet specific training needs.

Design and develop training aids, manuals and materials as required.

Update and maintain employee training records.

To internally promote organisational training courses to staff to ensure maximum awareness, involvement and participation where appropriate and required.

Assist Team Leaders and trainers within each team with any required classroom instruction, on the job coaching, call training etc. where necessary to support employees.

Provide and co-ordinate Train the Trainer sessions for team trainers to help with development of team members and also as appropriate cover for on-boarding/induction when required.

To track and report on training outcomes and assist HR in recording training feedback and evaluation of training programmes and courses.

Manage and maintain in house training facilities and equipment.

Where appropriate assist HR in the co-ordination of external training and courses.

To keep current on training design and methodology.

Any other ad hoc generalist duties as required.

Skills and Experience:
There are several competencies particularly critical in this role. They include strong people, team, process and technology competencies:

Degree/Third Level or equivalent qualification in Training/HR or related field

Proven experience in co-ordinating and delivering training in a corporate setting.

Knowledge of assessment of training needs/design/methodology of training process and evaluation skills.

Strong communication skills

Experience of coaching highly desirable

Strong organisational and administrative skills, with a high level of attention to detail.

Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

Able to work in a fast paced environment with changing and complex demands and requirements.

Can juggle multiple tasks, be extremely detail orientated whilst maintaining a fast paced workflow to meet strict deadlines.

Ability to work on own initiative with excellent planning and prioritisation.

Must be able to hit the ground running with a proactive can do approach and flexible work attitude.

Be a team player with a friendly, approachable personality.

MS Office proficiency.

Experience of databases/reporting systems highly desirable.
