The Magna Carta School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and inspirational Teacher of Design Technology (Resistant Materials) to work in this friendly, supportive and highly successful department.
The department has modern facilities with two excellent and well equipped workshops with CNC machines, computer resource areas and modern tools and machinery. We also have a graphics suite which includes a laser cutter and 3D printer. The faculty is striving to ensure the highest possible standards in teaching and learning.
The department currently teach AQA DT (RM & Textiles), NCFE Graphic Products and AWA Food preparation and nutrition. At Key Stage 3 (years 7 & 8) students rotate between RM, graphics, textiles and food technology.
DT subjects are popular and successful options and we currently have over fifty students studying either DT or Graphics in Year 9 with another fifty studying DT in both Years 10 and 11.
