We are recruiting for a full time Support Worker in Bournemouth.
We have an exciting opportunity to be part of a new dynamic team to support a 32 year old male with a diagnosis of mild Learning disability, autism, severe anxiety and behaviours that can present as challenging to start his journey in his new home. He is generally a chatty and polite young man who is a pleasure to interact with.
His interests include; spending time on his computer, keyring collecting, going to the cinema (especially to watch Batman, Disney and Sci-Fi moves), walking, cycling, going on train journeys, listening to music, looking around charity shops, going for a latte or simply relaxing at home. He will need support with all daily living tasks and to overcome any challenges he may encounter in his new home.
If you are an active, well-motivated, resilient person who enjoys a new challenge then this could be the career for you. We are looking for individuals who share the same interests, have a fun outlook on life and can think outside the box.
You will receive extensive training including training in physical intervention to ensure you are equipped in understanding the correct ways to respond, cope and react to difficult situations. , full induction to Dimensions and support with completion of the Care Certificate to enable you to fulfil the role and enhance your personal development.
