Support Time & Recovery Worker Job at Bridgend County Borough Council – in Bridgend

Job Description

37 hours per week

To work as part of a team that focuses on the direct needs of individuals to support their recovery from an episode of mental ill health.

Alongside senior staff you will be involved in the assessment of individuals referred to ARC via both Primary and Secondary Care routes, and will be required to carry out agreed action plans based on the person’s needs.

You will also be required to offer information and advice to members of the public who contact the service for guidance and support in relation to their emotional wellbeing. You will have a good understanding of the organisations and resources that are available in the community to support people’s wellbeing and mental health.

You will have an understanding of mental health problems and the impact these have on an individual’s wellbeing and be able to support those referred by using an empowering and recovery focussed approach.

Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
