Job Description

The Finance Team is here to bring value to Redgate by providing insightful financial advice and analysis, with integrity and objectivity, to support Redgate’s key decision- making processes and organisational goals. In addition, we maintain our own high standards by running lean, compliant and operationally excellent practices.

We are looking for a Strategy and Planning (S&P) Operations Manager to join the Finance team. The role, which is new to Redgate, is key to supporting the development of long-term organisational strategy by working cross-functionally, including with Executive Management, to structure problems, analyse opportunities, and develop solutions and actionable recommendations through a rigorous, data-driven process.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the role also will liaise between divisions to ensure divisional goals, processes and resources are aligned with Redgate’s strategy and each other and ensure that progress is appropriately tracked against company top level strategies and that these are reported to the Board and Executive Management team in an appropriate manner.

As part of a successful, global, software company, and undertaking several important duties, the role will be challenging and diverse – to keep you at the top of your game we’ll invest in you and your career, providing all the training and support needed for you to do great work.

If you like the sound of this, then we’d love to hear from you. To apply, simply upload your CV and covering letter or get in touch if you’d like to talk to us first.

What makes you Redgate’s next S&P Operations Manager?

You’ve got a track record of successful operations programme management, including experience of long-term strategy creation and short-term planning, budgeting, financial modelling, process design and policy management.

You’re comfortable presenting to and challenging senior stakeholders within the business, including C-Level.

You’ve got the ability to understand commercial positioning of a business and provide support and critical analysis around strategic plans.

You’re action biased, with the ability to make judgements and decisions in complex and ambiguous situations.

You’re a self-starter who enjoys working in a dynamic, collaborative, and innovative high-growth environment.

You’ve got exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

What else would help?

You’ve got previous experience of working in the software industry.

What’s the package?

A great benefits package .

Salary range is £50K-£70K, depending on experience.

You’ll work 40 hours a week, with flexible work time.

At Redgate we recruit on a rolling basis, which means we carry on recruiting until we find the right person for the role. We tend to compare individuals to the role specification rather than to each other.

During the selection process, Redgate’s Flexible-Hybrid working model will be discussed, alongside the expectations for the specific role you have applied for.

For your information, the general principles are:

  • For the majority of roles, if you can commit to travelling to the nearest office on a weekly basis, you can live wherever you like as long as it’s in a country or US state where Redgate has an office.
  • Permanent working from countries or US States where we don’t have an office won’t be possible unless the job advert states otherwise.
  • Some roles may require more office presence than others which might influence where you choose to live.

For the rest of 2021 we are supporting fully remote working for those that are uncomfortable returning to an office at the moment. However, you do have the option to come into an office on an occasional basis and many people are now choosing to do this, where our offices are open (Cambridge, UK; Berlin, Germany; Brisbane, Australia; Pasadena, CA).
