Job Description
What are we looking for?
If you are keen to take your first step into business strategy, then Taylor & Francis have an opportunity to join the fast-paced Strategy Office working across the growing Strategy function and the wider business.
Reporting into the Chief of Staff to the Chief Strategy Officer, we are looking for somebody who is keen to learn from a tight-knit senior leadership community who wants to learn how a FTSE 100 Group company manages and delivers its critical strategic priorities.
The focus of this role is to assist key strategic projects, supporting continuous improvement across strategy operations, and to provide administrative support to the Strategy Office. We would like someone who is prepared to get stuck into a wide variety of opportunities whilst learning on the job.
What you will be doing:
Reporting & Data Analysis:
Manage information flow in a timely and accurate manner, regularly liaising with the Chief Strategy Officer and the Chief of Staff for Strategy
Compile gathered data, including tables, charts
Contribute to the development of the use of existing reporting systems to deliver required insights
Presentation support and management:
Coordinating & creating presentations for senior managers
Act as a representative of the department within in-house projects
Manage day-to-day organizational tasks including expenses, diaries & other ad-hoc requests
Support to the Chief of Staff, Strategy
Supporting the Chief of Staff, providing diary oversite, travel and meeting arrangement, expenses management, and general administrate assistance as required
Support the Chief of Staff to deliver strategic objectives, unblocking issues where appropriate and following up on outstanding actions
Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience
Excellent administrative and organisational skills
Excellent communication skills: written and oral
Data analysis: proficiency in excel and an ability to understand multiple data sets
Excellent time management skills; ability to effectively prioritise work and meet deadlines
Team player with ability to develop key relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
A critical and creative thinker, who is adept at problem solving and seeks opportunities to deliver improvements
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and reporting systems
A keen eye for detail
Process compliance – Ability to follow agreed processes carefully and to keep accurate records
Proactive approach to work
Ability to cope positively with pressure
Additional Information
Please note this is based from home in the UK, and the successful candidate will be required to travel to our office in London Blackfriars or Milton Park, Oxfordshire, on an adhoc basis.
You must have the right to work and live in the United Kingdom. This role is open to candidates in all locations across the UK. T&F has multiple options for how employees can work based on their role – be that in the office, at home or somewhere in between.
