The Pre-Sales Specialist (PSS) supports sales productivity and deal flow by securing the “technical close” in complex solutions. The PSS collaborates with sales, service, engineering, and technical support resources to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs, and are appropriately supported by key customer technical decision-makers.
The PSS is responsible for achieving a profit and productivity quota made up of the combined expectations of the sales resources.
Reporting to the Pre-Sales Lead for Cyber Security, the PSS reports on a dotted line to
the sales manager or business line manager responsible for the sales team supported.
The Senior Security Service Development Specialist role is a senior technical role requiring candidates with experience in Service Development efforts in Cyber Security. Reporting to the Cyber Pre-sales Team Lead, you will be responsible for curating research ideas, managing the delivery of these ideas, and assisting that the team delivers on its mission to field innovative solutions To achieve this, the ideal candidate will serve as a senior engineer capable of conducting design reviews.
Works deals assigned to the sales team supported, prioritising effort based on maximizing total impact on team productivity and profit, or as directed by the manager.
Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers’ met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimise value for both the customer and the firm.
Secures input from all necessary solution stakeholders within the customer firm. Adapts solutions, as necessary, to ensure appropriate support.
Coordinates closely with internal sales, sales support, and service resources to align solution design with customers’ business requirements.
Secures from customer technical staff commitments needed to ensure a deal’s “technical close.”
Meets assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines or teams supported.
Provides coaching and professional development to team-member sales associates in order to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.
Opportunistically pursues additional business development opportunities within customer firms. Collaborates with sales to ensure these opportunities are effectively covered and advanced.
Monitors customer support for technical solutions proposed throughout the sales process, and alerts the sales and account teams to potential risks of deal closure.
Participate in technical discussions to transform ideas into agreed-upon solution designs
Prioritise development efforts, estimate work efforts, and manage project timelines
Participate in design, implementation, and review of solutions as necessary
Collaborate with Cyber Security SMEs across Arkphire
Demonstrate accountability for meeting milestones and ensure quality engineering deliverables
Present complex ideas to audiences of all skill levels and backgrounds
Work with Security Operations to integrate solutions into the Service Delivery model.

Maintains deal through-put in early deal-sales process steps.
Achieves product growth targets for the assigned geography, channel, sales team, or account base.
Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame.
Meets agreed quality and delivery dated for Service Development projects
Reports to the Team Lead for Cybers Security.
Works closely with Operations for Service Development Activity and alignment with Security Operations.
Works closely and collaboratively with the sales and account teams supported.

Pre-Sales Role – 40%
