Reporting to the Director Bipolar Device R&D , you as an R&D Engineer will be a part of the global Littelfuse Bipolar Chip R&D Team and will be responsible for research and development of high Power Bipolar Devices to meet and exceed Littelfuse customers’ expectations.

About the job:
New product development with focus on simulation, design and implementation of High Power Bipolar devices.

New process development and process integration.

Expertise on state-of-the-art process technologies. Suggest and explore process improvements and additions to existing capabilities.

Design of experiments in Littelfuse Wafer Fabs as well as with external sources (foundries, equipment suppliers or research institutions).

New product and process implementation in cooperation with Operations’ process engineering team to ensure manufacturability, cost efficiency and high yield of new designs.

Ensure highest quality and reliability of our products by design and test in cooperation with the quality and evaluation teams.

Assist product and process engineering with R&D expertise on yield, cost-down and failure analysis topics.

About you:
University degree in Engineering, Physics or equivalent.

Excellent understanding of Power Semiconductor Physics and Devices, in particular bipolar power devices.

Ideally at least 3-5 years of work experience in relevant role

Good understanding and experience in Power Semiconductor processing, in particular diffusion, device termination and lifetime control.

Good understanding of quality and reliability requirements of power semiconductors

Ideally experience in device simulation and mask design

Problem solving ability

Ideally experience in Lean Six Sigma and Lean Development.
