Product Delivery Manager Job at TRADEIX – in Dublin
Reporting to the Director, Product Operations, the Product Delivery Manager will play a key role in the Product Delivery function by leading a team of Product Owners, collaborating closely with Product Managers and Architects to translate large company initiatives into deliverable roadmap themes that provide value to our customers.
In this role, you will have two key areas of responsibility: line management and career development for a team of Product Owners and planning, delivery and reporting of roadmap themes which will include interacting directly with Product Managers, Customers (including prospective Customers), Architecture, Engineering, Network Enablement (Customer Projects), Pre-Sales, Marketing, Support, and Integration.
Own and manage the collaborative and dynamic planning, refinement and delivery of a group of roadmap themes from initial prioritisation by the internal Product Steering Group, through to delivery and production release to customers. (A roadmap theme is a collection of features meant to support a collection of different use cases).
Leading and facilitating all theme level planning and refinement activities, balancing the tech, business and customer needs and then eloquently and persuasively articulating the rational to key business and engineering stakeholders ensuring alignment on the optimum approach to deliver value to our customers
Act as the escalation point to unblock, diffuse, resolve issues that arise during the planning and refinement cycle
Collaborate closely with Product Managers to understand the roadmap priorities and high-level requirements and oversee the crafting of these into themes, use cases and slices, which are the artefacts to be used by engineers to deliver requirements.
Pro-actively mentor, develop and line manage a group of high performing Product Owners, to incorporate agile best practice approaches to prioritization, refinement, and delivery as well as foster a culture of customer focus, honesty, openness and excellence in execution and innovation
Responsible for supervising and ensuring the Product Owner team is efficient in planning and refining use case and slices in line with the Product Release Planning milestones and schedule
Own capacity management for a team of Product Owners ensuring work is allocated in the most efficient manner to deliver the roadmap themes
Report to the Product Management team regular dashboards/stakeholder communications on latest status and progress of all roadmap themes
Identify risks and effectively manage them; proactively raise prioritization and scheduling trade-off decisions, escalating and identifying alternate options as appropriate
Collaborate with key delivery counterparts in Engineering and Network Enablement to identify opportunity for improvement that will enable us to deliver faster and more effectively
Participate in other Product Delivery related activities, as requested
Skills and Experience
A Bachelor’s degree, ideally in but not limited to Business, IT or Engineering
10+ years’ experience in Product Delivery, Product Management or Lead Product Owner position including line management responsibilities
Proven experience in a product role within the fintech market, especially in trade finance, supply chain finance, transaction banking, and/or payments sectors
5+ years of proven managerial experience in product management and/or software development for enterprise software products, especially in financial services
Proven experience in managing or leading a team of Product Owners
Very deep experience in at least one Agile delivery framework, with an openness to learn new practices and processes
Strong and positive leadership: ability to inspire, collaborate and communicate to build trust, consensus between stakeholders across multiple departments
Proven technical knowledge and proven ability to work closely with software architects, engineers and designers on complex enterprise software products
Evidence of previous requirements management in the software innovation space
Organized, structured, analytical and logical; strong problem-solving skills and delivery acumen
Ability to prioritize work in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
Excellent negotiation & influencing abilities
Strong “ownership” mentality and a bias for action
