At Derby City Council, effective procurement is seen as a key function in the drive to reduce costs. To build on the work already achieved by the Procurement team, exciting opportunities have been created to join and support the team to deliver procurement projects.
You will manage a wide range of enquiries from inside and outside of the Council, and provide excellent administration, IT and customer service skills.
Support the Procurement Officers in the administration of procurement exercises including the use of the Council’s e-tendering system. Experience of obtaining quotations/ tenders for goods or services is desirable but not essential.

- Leisure facilities goods and services
- Outdoor facilities and equipment
It is essential that you are qualified to A’ level standard or equivalent and have strong IT skills.
There is the possibility of some remote working, particularly whilst managing the risks regarding Covid-19, therefore you will need access to IT equipment and internet access. Initial training and support on appointment could potentially be delivered remotely as well.

Interviews may be held remotely via Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams or another form of video communication. In addition, tests may take place via email. Applicants will need, therefore, to have access to appropriate IT equipment, Microsoft applications and video conferencing.
