PL Inspires Education Officer Job at Palace for Life Foundation – in London

Job Description

The PL Inspires Officer will support delivery on our ‘Route to Employment Programmes’, for young people aged 14 – 25 years old. He/she will work closely with young people to develop soft skills in team work, leadership, enterprise and problem solving and support them in their progression into further education, training or employment. The post-holder will work closely with all colleagues of the Foundation to ensure our processes and delivery meet the needs of our participants and develop mechanisms to support our Routes to Employment Programmes in the following key areas: Enrolment, Induction, Assessment and Learner Support

  • Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities/Job Summary
  • Work with the ETE Manager to ensure employability provision is aligned to young people’s needs, demography and chosen employment pathway
  • Lead on the delivery of the PL Inspires Programme for KS3 & KS4, soft skills workshops and activities, in line with relevant standards and regulations
  • Maintain good working relationships with Crystal Palace Football Club (CPFC), parents/carers/employers/referrers and stakeholders
  • Action referrals through the Foundation referral process to identify suitable participants for ETE programmes
  • Support each cohort of learners using a caseload management system
  • Develop delivery of the PL Inspires programme, delivering in secondary schools, alternative provisions & 6th form.
  • Ensure that key project information is recorded, analysed and disseminated as appropriate
  • Work collaboratively with staff using verbal and written reports to ensure accurate and timely progress reviews, ensuring communication updates are shared with the multi-disciplinary team, parents and carers
  • To ensure all work is in line with the Policies and guidelines/procedures as adopted and adhered to by the Foundation.
  • Support the delivery of other ‘route to employment’ courses and programmes
  • Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities considered appropriate by the Senior Management Team of the Foundation

Essential: –

Knowledge

  • PTLLS qualification or equivalent
  • Knowledge of the boundaries faced by young people who are NEET

Experience

  • Experience of working with young people who are NEET or ‘hard to reach’
  • Experience of delivering employability skills workshops and/or functional skills
  • Must have excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience of monitoring learner progress using standard database systems
  • Experience of evaluating programmes, analysing qualitative and quantitative data.

Technical Skills

  • Experience delivering on Study Programmes/Traineeships/Apprenticeships in a Community Football Foundation environment
