We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Back Office Operations and Payments Associate to join our growing Operations Team based between London and Madrid.

Your mission will be to carry out daily reconciliations across users’ accounts, delivering the assurance that our client money is safe. You will continuously improve the broader reconciliations framework’s effectiveness and analyze breaks to improve processes and systems used across the wider business continually.

You will play an essential role in taking Tymit to the next level – thus, You should be passionate about fintech, your job, and enjoy a fast-paced international working environment. As we progress, we will be creating a “Flat back-office operation”, and since you are part of the early stage Team, you will have an important role in crafting the culture and core values at Tymit.

During your time at Tymit you will

Monitor and reconcile transactions and payments.

Resolve customer issues by examining customer payment plans and payment history.

Identifying, investigating, and querying discrepancies.

Continuous improvement of the reconciliation processes.

Assistance with daily treasury management.

Define and manage the strategy for each project in terms of the chargebacks management and interlocution of external companies.

Work very closely with the Customer Service team based in London to link all required service activities to operational procedures and effective customer outcomes.

Coordinate closely with the Engineering team to improve and automate processes to keep a reliable and efficient back-office operation.

Coordinate with our strategic partners on which we delegate processing, payments, and other parts of our operation and integrate them into our back-office and our processes.

Understand the importance of dealing with customer data and providing excellent service; you also take very seriously the regulated nature of a financial institution and the awareness required on aspects like Financial Crime.

Support the adoption of new processes and tools, providing constructive feedback and collaborating with Business Operations, Product, and Engineering teams.

What you will bring along

You have previously worked in an operations role within a tech or financial services company, ideally in consumer lending, personal banking, loan servicing, or payments.

You have an understanding of various payment methods, card settlements, refunds, and fees.

You have previously gained knowledge about financial/operational controls and reconciliation, mostly regarding payments, bank accounts, and operating systems that support the company’s operations.

You have experience with chargebacks management and optimal implementation of strategies to manage the area

You have a passion for helping customers improve their financial situation to make on-time payments consistently.

You can rethink the way how things currently work to run a more efficient back-office operation.

You have outstanding communication skills in English.

You bring a strong willingness to learn, innate curiosity, and the ability to think out of the box when directives are unstructured.

You have a strong desire to contribute to the success of Tymit’s growth plans.

You have entrepreneurial DNA with the desire to solve problems while wanting to inspire and share your knowledge and passion for FinTech.

Compensation & Perks

The salary range of this role is £20,000 – 35,000 per annum, depending on experience.

25 days of paid holiday plus bank holidays.

You’ll be able to benefit from a work from home policy. Currently, Tymit is working fully remotely, and all employees can remain working from home until at least the end of 2020.
