Job Description

We’re looking to recruit a talented Growth Marketing Manager who can communicate effectively and inspire those around them. We’d love to join you to our team based in Edinburgh.

About the company

Paymob is an innovative software development start-up company offering smart on-land (card present) payment solutions. The all-in-one Paymob solution empowers banks, fintechs and merchants with a bespoke payment infrastructure that includes a multi-banking payment gateway, stylish contactless payment terminals and certified ‘Tap-to-Phone’ mobile application that turns almost any modern smartphone into a contactless payment terminal. The server-based infrastructure software EFTPOS (Electronic Funds Transfer at Point-of-Sale) has been designed to efficiently integrate with existing banking systems or can be used as an independent payment processing solution which streamlines several processing centres.

Main duties and responsibilities
Responsible for the development of business-to-business direct response marketing campaigns, the ideal candidate will be both analytical and creative and have the ability to successfully manage multiple projects in a timely manner.

  • Developing marketing plans as specified as well as co-ordinating ongoing marketing initiatives
  • Conducting thorough market analysis (including but not limited to internal data analysis of previous events and external research)
  • Working with outsourced designers to design marketing and social media creative pieces
  • Identifying promotional opportunities and relationships & negotiating marketing partnerships or discounts on external advertising/insertions
  • Assessing current and prospective customer retention and acquisition strategies
  • Writing copy for press releases & event notices.
  • Developing media relations with local media and targeted trade publications in order to raise the profile of both the events and company
  • Executing ALL aspects of direct marketing from target market segmentation; internal database selections; brochure design and printing; website postings; event online listings; PR & additional event exposure; emails etc
  • Conducting market research; identification of industry trends, and monitoring competitive industry events
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies including new data acquisition, marketing channels, broader portfolio promotion/advertising
  • Reporting on all Marketing Campaigns
  • Increasing brand awareness and sales opportunities through various social media channels

Skills Required

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Solid numeric abilities and experience with quantitative analysis

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with and relate to all levels both within and outside the organisation

  • Strong research skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • 3 years’ experience with digital marketing specifically LinkedIn ads, Google PPC and remarketing producing positive ROI
  • University degree or equivalent (Marketing or Business degree or equivalent preferred)
  • Ability to demonstrate relevant experience within a marketing environment
  • Excellent computer skills (including MS Word, Excel)
  • Fluency in both written and spoken business English
  • Experience working at early-stage companies
