Marketing and Recruitment Manager

My client is an established private Football Academy for 16-19 year old students from around the world combining both football and education. The Academy is currently located in Stamford.

The role

The Marketing and Recruitment Manager will play a key role in accelerating the Academies ambition to increase its global impact and strengthen its position as the UK’s leading private international football academy that identifies top talent and encourages students from around the world to enrol. Your specific role within this will be to drive the marketing and engagement strategy around the world, engage with and manage existing partner organisations and recruit new students to the Academy as part of the Academies growth plans.

Working arrangements

Whilst the role is based in our Stamford office, there is some flexibility to work from home. You will be required to travel throughout the UK from time to time and there may be some future requirements to travel internationally. This is a full time role in which hours may need to be worked flexibly to fit around worldwide time zones, this may involve occasional evening or early morning meetings which can be conducted from home.

Day to Day activities – what you will be doing

· Delivering the marketing strategy for the Academy to agreed measurable objectives

· Overseeing the Academies strategy for recruitment by a variety of means to include recruitment events, virtual open days, taster days etc

· Creating new innovative ways to drive up UK and International recruitment

· Liaising with Coaching and Academic staff to support the growth of student enrolments

· Liaising with the Head of Admissions to ensure a smooth registration process for students and their families

· Maintaining effective internal communications

· Managing and further developing lead generation campaigns

· Supporting the development and implementation of the Academies CRM solution

· Managing existing strategic partners

· Maintaining effective relationships with agencies/partners and act as a key point of contact in all matters

· Analysing all marketing and sales activities and creating reports

· Continually contribute to all digital sales and engagement channels

· Identifying and building new strategic relationships and partnerships across the sector such as clubs, players, agencies, suppliers etc

· Overseeing data input and maintenance of relevant in-house platforms

· Ensuring that the company’s values are maintained and represented in all everything you do

Skills and Experience – please do not apply unless you have

· An excellent understanding of the sector both within the UK and Internationally

· A strong knowledge of and commitment to inclusion and promoting equality and diversity

· Demonstrable experience in a similar role

· Some experience or awareness of working across multiple cultures and languages

· Some experience or knowledge of what is involved in working with young people aged 16-19

· Excellent communication skills

· A proven ability to work positively as part of a team and under your own initiative

· Strong organisational skills

· A good understanding of Health and Safety

· An understanding of confidentiality & safeguarding issues and requirements

· Excellent IT skills

The salary for this role is £32k per annum with a structured bonus system in place creating an OTE of £35-£36k
