Job Role: SEMH Learning Support Assistant

Location – Sevenoaks, Kent

Teachright Kent are in search of an experienced Learning Support Assistant that can inspire pupils with SEMH.

Teachright Kent are recruiting for a progressive SEMH school based in Sevenoaks, Kent. They are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant with a passion for supporting primary aged pupils with SEMH and challenging behaviors.

The school was rated “Good” by Ofsted and are well resourced to support the additional needs of their young people. The school supports both their young people’s learning and social development.

The Learning Support role:

· Supporting teachers with their learning objectives and classroom management.

· Working 1:1 and with small groups of pupils in the classroom and pastorally.

· Being a positive role model and establishing positive relationships with pupils and helping to develop their social skills.

· Working well with other members of school staff to provide a stimulating learning environment.

What you will need:

· Previous SEMH classroom or SEMH outreach experience (preferably in KS2 but not essential)

· A desire to learn new SEMH teaching strategies and skills to best support students.

· Be able to comfortably work 1:1 and with small groups of pupils.

· Organized, reliable, friendly, hard-working, and resilient with a good sense of humor.

· Enhanced DBS or one in progress.

Contract length: 12 months

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary, Contract

Salary: £65.00-£80.00 per day
