The Big Stuff
Our Kitchen Assistants ensure all back of house areas are kept clean, and observe COSHH and health and safety guidelines.
As an integral part of the kitchen team, our Kitchen Assistants contribute to the overall safety & security performance scorecard.
At the heart of our kitchen operations, each team member follows standardised processes designed to ensure a high quality & high standard of cleanliness & safety.
The Standard Bits
To ensure working environment is in accordance with hygiene regulations and company standards
Ensure proper storage of food and stock rotation
To ensure compliance with all kitchen safety requirements
To ensure the correct PPE is in place and guidelines are adhered to
To observe COSHH guidelines when handling hazardous substances
To Report any maintenance and, or, hazard issues to the supervisor on duty
Carry out general cleaning as directed by kitchen manager

To work with the Kitchen Manager to kitchen safety requirements are met at all times

What are we looking for? (Essential Experience/ Qualifications)
Previous kitchen assistant
The ability to adapt and make changes quickly ensuring the highest standards are retained.
Relevant food preparation qualification – Hospitality & Catering – Level 1(or equivalent )
Qualification in food safety and a track record in managing all aspects of kitchen safety
Preferred Experience/ Qualifications:
Experience in a quality production style / branded environment
Evidence of ability to lead change with new technologies and ways of working
Basic Food Safety Qualification (or equivalent)
