Support the Incoming Inspector by creating incoming inspection quality plans for mechanical and electrical components to ensure specifications have been met prior to release to manufacturing. You will directly impact customer satisfaction by ensuring only quality products are delivered on time.
Analyse drawings and liaise with the engineering and quality team to understand the features and dimensions that are critical to each component.
Create inspection quality plans that will be used for incoming inspection of mechanical and electrical components.
Work with the QA team to improve current quality inspections plans.
Other QA and QC related duties as required by the business.
This opportunity would ideally suit a student currently studying a related engineering/quality degree; alternatively it might also suit someone who has quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to interpret and understand mechanical and electrical engineering drawings and specifications.
Have an understanding of measuring equipment and processes.
Knowledge of H&S expectations within a manufacturing and/or laboratory environment.
Ability to produce detailed work in a timely manner.· Skilled in using software, such as Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel and Propel (PLM System).
Be able to multi-task, manage deadlines and easily adapt to new challenges and business working environment.
