Working within the school nursing team, you will assist the school nurses to provide advice and support on a range of health issues to school age children, young people and their families.
As a Health Care Assistant you will
Be the clerical and administrative support for the school nursing team using a range of administrative and computer-based skills to ensure the efficient and effective running of the office.
Deliver health education in primary schools as part of the school nursing team and deliver sessions independently, as directed by school nurse
Carry out height, weight, hearing and vision screening and other assigned tasks adhering to protocols and guidance from school nurses as required.
Be able to organise and manage own timeand plan own diary commitments,prioritising work to ensure support for senior clinical staff is always available for the efficient delivery of patient care.
