Full Time 37.5 hours per week, plus 1 on-call per month

(Shifts: 07:45-15:45 / 13:00-21:00)

Role Overview:
We are recruiting for a Health Care Assistant to work in Theatres, to be based at the prestigious Cromwell Hospital. You will work closely with the nurses to prepare our patients before their procedure, and prepping for the theatre list, moving patients, and various other duties as directed. The Cromwell Hospital receives both UK and international patients and is committed to providing the highest quality healthcare for patients.

What you’ll do

As a Health Care Assistant, contribute in the delivery of care and needs to the patients by assisting the team in providing a high standard of care.

Welcome and receive patients, visitors and colleagues to the unit.

Accompany patients (including their friends and relatives) between departments.

Assist patients with eating, drinking, patient hygiene and elimination procedures.

Assist with observation and collection of specimens.

Participate in clinical audit

Have an understanding of cultural needs.

What you’ll bring?

Experience on a ward or outpatient setting

NVQ Level 2 (Direct Patient Care) or equivalent – Essential

NVQ Level 3 (Direct Patient Care) – Desirable

Good communicator/interpersonal skills.
