You will join our Offshore Wind department

As our new Graduate Engineer – Offshore Wind you will be part of Ramboll’s Offshore Wind team consisting of over 175 professionals. Operating primarily from 6 offices in Denmark, Germany and the UK along with colleagues worldwide including India, China and the USA, the offshore wind team support offshore projects around the world, delivering the full suite of services required to develop an offshore windfarm including the design for offshore wind turbine support structures and foundations. Having completed the detailed design of over 60 offshore wind farms, you will join a team with a wealth of experience in to draw upon and learn from. Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
Support the project team in the delivery of high-quality designs for offshore support structures reflecting the latest state-of-the-art, ensuring third-party certification and follow-up during the fabrication and installation phases.

Assist in the delivery of design work packages for concept, Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and detailed designs in collaboration with other engineers and other disciplines and referring to the Project Manager and/or Lead Engineer.

Analysis and optimisation of structural designs through skilled examination of results and important design drivers.

Documenting project results as well as participation in project meetings with clients and certification bodies.

Contribution to Ramboll’s technical development board, which is our research intelligence centre in the field of primary steel design.

Your key deliverables within the first 12 months will be:
Assist the delivery of a primary, secondary steel or finite element design package for one of our concept, FEED or detailed design projects which is fully coordinated with other disciplines and project stakeholders (Client, fabricator(s), other contractors, certifiers, etc) to achieve certification.

Participate in our technical competence group sharing knowledge initiatives with other engineers in the team and the wider offshore wind organisation.

Join Ramboll’s Graduate Development programme and get enrolled in a structured training scheme for obtaining Chartered status.

A Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; preferably with a focus on steel construction or similar areas of study.

An interest for the offshore renewables industry and the design of highly dynamic and complex offshore wind structures.

Some working experience gained through internships during your studies will be positively valued.

Experience with structural design software and programming languages, preferably Python, will be considered advantageous.

Good communication skills in English with the ability to work as part of a team interfacing with other disciplines and other stakeholders both in person and remotely.
