You will assist in developing and implement strategies to support the delivery of a cost-effective and fully compliant fleet solution, with a focus on vehicle maintenance, as well as vehicle and driver compliance.
You will be help to develop, agree, and implement robust policies, standards, systems, and processes to ensure the ongoing compliance of drivers and ensuring the maintenance management delivers a cost-effective, timely, and compliant vehicle fleet.
You will provide specialist advice to influence decision making and/or development of solutions in respect of vehicle design whilst employing a leading practice approach through keeping in touch with the latest developments in the industry and across companies.
What you’ll be doing:
Daily Management and administration of the companies fleets of vans and cars including:
Fuel Card management
Damage and accident management
Toll and Charge management
Fixed penalty notice management
Driver onboarding and license management
New vehicle delivery and old fleet disposal management
Driver swap control
Dash-cam report management
Managing strict vehicle maintenance and servicing schedules to minimise downtime
Monitoring Driver behaviour and reporting to senior management
Maintaining accurate and detailed records of vehicle inspections and services
Regular reporting to Senior management on all aspects of Fleet
Strategic Fleet Management:
Engaging with stakeholders to manage the Fleet lifecycle from pre-order to disposal
Reviewing cost effectiveness of fleet and continuously improving operations
Working with insurance providers and risk management to continuously improve safety and welfare of drivers
Assisting with the drafting and implementation of effective policies and processes regarding fleet operations
Continuously reviewing the fleet effectiveness to ensure CFL are always on the front foot of Fleet Management
The experience we’re looking for you to bring:
Proven experience in fleet coordination of light commercial vehicles and company cars in a multi-site organisation.
Experience of coordinating vehicle lease agreements, ensuring the operational need for vehicles is delivered
Experience ensuring fleet compliance (in line with DVSA, GOV.UK requirements) and identifying opportunities to improve fleet safety and efficiency
Experience maintaining fleet management information systems
Experience implement management systems to provide best-in-class recording and reporting systems on servicing, MOT, repairs, accidents, vehicle usage, driver behaviour, and fuel management.
Good organisation and project management skills
People management and leadership skills
Contract management skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Databases
Full valid driving license
