About the team
Following a recent review of the team a new opportunity has arisen to support the Business Insights team to deliver on the value creation agenda. This role involves partnering closely with commercial finance teams & strategy to provide data and analytics which supports strategic decision making.
This role is not only a custodian of data but a valued partner across FP&A & the business to provide insight into performance. This role must be able to effectively communicate trends succinctly whilst delivering actionable insight & recommendations to all stakeholders.
What you will be doing
Gathers, analyses, prepares, and summarizes insight to drive business performance
Partner with commercial finance and S&GtM teams to analyze data, draw insight & recommend solutions which support strategic decision making
Perform deep dive analysis on customer, sector, and geographic trends to recognize areas of opportunity, engage relevant stakeholders & identify actions
Identify external business trends and draw parallels with internal company performance
Perform in-month analysis of financial performance to project and explain monthly trends
Work with stakeholders to develop new and insightful reports and dashboards which provide meaningful Executive level analysisWork across geographies to align and harmonize reporting and provide a global view of trends
What you bring:
Qualified accountant (or considerably progressed PQ) or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
Communicates ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise, and professional manner
Ability to analyze and solve problems using learned techniques and tools
Ability to understand and apply learned concepts with attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality
Demonstrated ability to plan and accomplish work to ensure critical deadlines are met
Strong demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel & MS Office
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders
Added bonus if you have:
Some working knowledge of Tableau and SQL desirable but not essential
Analytical and statistical examination skills
