Job Description Summary

The Cost Centre of Excellence (CoE) provides a service dedicated to enabling and serving Finance Business Partners (FBP’s), made up of three teams; the Planning and Analysis (P&A) team, the Reporting, Journals and Controls (RJC) team, and the Performance Improvement (PI) team.

This role is part of the Planning & Analysis team and reports directly into the Senior Planning & Analysis Manager for the People & Property and Group cost divisions.

We’re looking for someone who can help cultivate an environment in which people bring out the best within the Centre of Excellence with a customer centric philosophy that provides control, challenge and insight in close conjunction with our Finance Business Partners and Reporting, Journals & Control teams.

Job Description

We’re looking for someone who will:
Undertake all planning, month end & analysis activities for the People & Property division, with a particular focus on Property Asset Management, including but not limited to:

Review of divisional cost performance and reporting, challenging where required, providing commentary and CoE analysis & insight

Liaising with People & Property FBP’s to review, communicate and understand financial performance;

Production of monthly flash and management reporting to the FBP’s and Divisional Finance Director

Preparation, analysis and communication of the 4 Year Operating Plan / Quarterly and Monthly Rolling Forecast

Specific focus on IFR16 Lease accounting and controls for Property Asset Management & 3rd party suppliers

Prepare and provide the inputs & analysis for quarterly external result reporting around Group property and IFRS 16 Lease Accounting disclosures, working with our external auditors to support audit and compliance activity

Undertaking accounting & control activities including around IFRS 16 accounting and SOX testing

Team Support

Actively assist and motivate junior colleagues to assist in the creation of a high performing and engaged team to achieve objectives and deliver above expectation

Communicate effectively with FBP’s and other teams within the Cost Centre of Excellence, including the Reporting, Journals and Control teams to deliver insightful financial reporting and insight

Continuously promote and embed a culture of process improvement within the team

Ideally a qualified accountant or qualified by experience

Represent the Planning & Analysis team across all key stakeholders, including but not limited to the Centre of Excellence teams, Business Partnering teams and other Group Reporting & Cost Management areas
