Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team, initially in manufacturing accounting and business partnering to cover for maternity leave. This will lead on to a role in financial reporting & control and/or planning & analysis. This will be a varied role and will suit someone looking for rapid experience across many areas of finance.

The Finance Business Partner is primarily responsible for financial analysis and business partnering across the manufacturing areas of the Hillarys Group through the provision of high quality, timely and insightful performance and overhead reporting which facilitates informed decision making.

About the role:
Produce deadline-driven detailed reporting, analysis and interpretation relating to gross margin, cost of goods sold, stock, WIP and manufacturing across all business channels. Responsible for cost of goods sold (COGS) reconciliation in month end process.

Responsibility for the management accounting / business partnering functions in support of Operational business areas

Monitor and challenge KPIs to drive manufacturing performance and stock control / management

Budgeting and forecasting for direct labour, CPU, stock and operational cost centres

Variance analysis reporting for cost centres which in turn inform the forecasting process

Provide balance sheet reconciliations falling under the manufacturing and procurement areas

Support audit, statutory reporting or due diligence requirements as required

Exhibiting positive role model behaviour that promotes an open culture, team work and professional standards

Ad hoc project work

About you:
Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)

Confident using Microsoft Office (Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Experience in the manufacturing sector preferred

SAP knowledge preferred

Remain confident when dealing with negative situations, create new options with imaginative solutions to difficult problems

Report accurate data, delivering in a timely manner

Show commercial insight/acumen, providing recommendations for action

Be non-confrontational when handling or involved in conflict situations in order to achieve agreed and acceptable standards

Maintain strong financial controls over cost centres, monthly reconciliations and budget/forecasts so as to prevent out-turn result surprises

Be alert to changing situations, showing flexibility in approach, adaptability in difficult circumstances

Continuously strive to achieve results and look for improvements
