Our client is a high-profile national charity with offices across the UK. The busy Birmingham finance team now seeks a Finance Assistant (minimum 2 years’ experience) to work as part of a team led by a friendly Head of Finance.

You will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing day-to-day finance information including responding to queries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring that payments and income are recorded correctly and promptly. Sales ledger experience is absolutely essential – unfortunately, any applicants without will not be considered.

The successful candidate will possess great communication skills, dealing with both colleagues and external staff and suppliers. The team is super-busy, so you must be confident in your ability to process large volumes of data quickly and accurately, and to deal with and resolve queries using own initiative but asking for help when needed. You must be polite, professional, and patient, with a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude to deal with sometimes urgent or difficult situations. You must also be happy working within a timeframe-driven environment where you will be working to weekly and month-end deadlines.
