Sunrise Tools & Equipment is a long-established business offering a range of specialist products (own-manufactured and bought-in) for the Construction, Utilities and Service trades, with turnover on course to exceed £500,000 in the current accounting period. Customers range from multi-nationals to sole traders, with products supplied internationally to end-users and through distributors. Much of the business is generated through a highly effective web presence but we also encourage telephone contact and in normal circumstances, would visit clients when required. The company is currently based at Unit 37, Romsey Industrial Estate, Greatbridge Road, Romsey. These premises are less than ten minutes from Romsey train station. We may however relocate elsewhere within the Romsey area in the near future.
We are seeking a person with practical marketing and communication skills to assist in all aspects of developing and operating the business.
- Expanding our market presence by greater use of digital marketing
- Creation and maintenance of online video content
- Managing our on-line presence and the interface with our web developer
- Undertaking customer analysis and developing marketing themes
- Dealing with telephone enquiries
- Assembling and despatching orders
- General business administration
As a small team, we need a colleague who is willing to turn their hand to any task the business requires. So whilst there will be a strong focus on marketing-related activities, you must be willing and able to undertake a wide range of tasks within the office and assembly/despatch functions as the need arises.
Qualifications and Experience
The work to be undertaken will require intellectual capacity, literacy and numeracy skills, which we anticipate will have involved Further Education. Formal qualifications aligned with Marketing and Digital Communication disciplines will be looked upon favourably. Note – we will thoroughly investigate all claims for qualifications and occupational experience.
Hours and Remuneration
Whilst we are looking to establish a permanent role at the earliest opportunity, the current need to operate staff rotation to ensure personal safety MAY dictate that initial part-time working (3 days per week, office-based) would be offered – we will update applicants when discussions take place. We will consider the skills and experience on offer from individual applicants when determining a salary but in all instances, we would be offering a minimum of £9.50 per hour.
