Cumbernauld or Milton Keynes – currently working from Home. What we’re looking for… This is an exciting opportunity to join the Supply Planning team on a fixed term contract for 6 months. This would be an ideal opportunity for a graduate, providing a great entry point for someone who already has a good understanding of planning and is looking to work within a planning team and progressing within the FMCG industry, or for someone who is currently working in a similar role and wishes to develop their understanding of supply chains and giving them exposure to a fast paced supply and operations planning team.

This role is set in a fast paced environment and will suit someone who will enjoy the buzz of constant change.

You willplay a major part in delivering some key performance metrics, which not only impact your immediate team but also set the standard of service that our customers have begun to expect from us.

You willhave a passion for achieving targets and pushing to deliver the best possible customer service results.

You willbe responsible for:
Leading the development and execution of our deployment and distribution plans within the wider AG Barr network. Utilising technology to improve the quality, speed, and agility of deployment and inventory management, as well as escalating areas for improvement to the Supply Planning Manager for review, and following through on the implementation of these improvements. Working with the members of the Supply Chain Planning and Customer Service team to execute supply chain improvement projects.

Conducting network capacity planning and providing input to the Supply Managers regarding potential network capacity issues. Collaborating with all departments involved in the movement of goods to ensure any in-transit balances are rectified across the network. Ensuring high levels of communication with the Customer Service team and driving process/activity alignment between the two teams. Leading groups to problem solve unique issues that occur.

Working to improve deployment and inventory performance. Taking responsibility for the achievement of availability, perfect order and truck fill metrics. The development and execution of a re-work schedule for all finished goods that need to be re-worked in order to make ready for shipment to the customer. Educated to degree level, awarded in a related subject or have equivalent experience working in a similar role and/or industry. Knowledgeable of production/supply planning, stock deployment techniques and have a deep understanding of supply chain management principles/fundamentals. Strong in computer IT skills. Significant level of experience in the Microsoft Office suite of applications, including an advanced level of Excel. Knowledge of ERP systems – JDE preferable.
