Job Title: Data Officer

Salary: £25,000 – £30,000

Location: Hammersmith, London

Hours: Full time 35 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

The role

This is a new role as a result of our expansion of services to reach over 8000 women and children a year. This is a newly created position at Advance, joining our expanding Insights Team to support their critical work in monitoring and evaluating the Advance Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) and Criminal Justice (CJ) services. This role will provide pivotal support to ensure that our database is fit for purpose and maintained to a high level of accuracy, for example auditing case data to ensure it is accurate and up to date and prompting other staff members to take corrective actions if necessary.

We are looking to strengthen our coherent and centralised approach to the administration of our database (currently Paloma’s MODUS software), which means delivering consistent and measured training to colleagues in the use of the software. Once you have a firm grasp on the system in your role and are up to date with all the housekeeping and data cleansing, you will have the opportunity work with the two Data Insights Analysts and Data Insights Manager to address training needs, including the initial training of new starters and regular refresher training for users across the organisation.

What you will bring:
We are looking for someone with previous database and/or data capture administration experience in a team setting, with experience in processing data, interpreting reports and identifying trends. You will act of the first point of contact for internal questions regarding the database – either responding in a timely manner or redirecting queries to senior members of staff as/when required.

With a keen eye for accuracy and detail you should be well organised, able to cope with pressure at times, and be able to demonstrate empathy with : committed to making real and lasting change for women and girls in society.
