Category Manager Job at Lambeth Council – in London
PO7: Starting salary £52,569 per annum
The Lambeth Procurement team is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to lead strategic procurement and category management across our Housing and Property services.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced commercial individual with an established track record of managing high value/complex procurements from tender through to contract completion in a fast-paced environment.
You will lead the development of category plans and strategic sourcing strategies, driving a focus on value for money and added societal benefits. You will take the lead developing productive relationships with stakeholders and support the development of procurement knowledge within the service area.
You will demonstrate knowledge and experience of different procurement routes, with experience of selecting the most advantageous, along with experience of driving innovation and efficiencies.
As part of the Procurement management team you will also contribute to the development of a procurement improvement plan drawing on your experience of best practice elsewhere.
