Care & Support Worker Job at Thames Valley Housing – in Teddington
We are looking for a care and support worker to join our team to support twelve customers with learning disability, Autism, and behaviour needs. You will be working as part of a team, supporting these adults, so experience in a similar role is essential. You will support them with activities that will help them live and thrive an independent life.
The role involves working 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Sunday on a weekly rota.
What you will need to succeed
You will need good commination skills to be able to work as part of a team or work on your own when needed. You will have experience of updating paperwork on the computer, dealing with appointments in a holistic approach.
The key is the ability to demonstrate a passion to deliver excellent service to customers. You will need to be able to work independently and have the confidence to deal with customers with compassion and promote social interaction as much as is possible.
To meet our commitment to providing safe, high quality services to our customers we will complete an enhanced background check with the Disclosure and Barring service, which will include a check of the Adult Barred list, once an offer of employment is made. A new check will be completed every three years.
