Full Time – 37 Hours – Permanent (Post 3 – Part time)

Salary Scale: £19,312 – £19,698 per annum

Location: Saltisford Office Park, Warwick

We have a variety of Business Support Officer roles available on permanent contract supporting teams within Education Services.

Post 1 – Education Services – Team 1

Supporting the casework/administration of the Special Educational Needs Disability Assessment and Review Service (Sendar). This role may also need to support other teams across Send and Inclusion.

Sendar is the Local Authority service that manages, monitors and reviews the Statutory Special Educational Needs processes for Warwickshire in accordance with the SEN Code of Practice.

Post 2 – Education Services – Team 1

Supporting the administration of the Educational Psychology Service (EPS). This role may also need to support other teams across Send and Inclusion.

The Education Psychology Service provide a highly professional, holistic and wide-ranging service in support of children/young people, parents/carers, educational settings and other professionals.

Post 3 – Part time, 3 days per week – Education Services – Team 2

This role provides business support across several services within Send and Inclusion.

Post 4 – Education Services – Team 3

This role provides business support across several areas within Education Services.

Post 5 – Education Services – Team 3

This role provides business support across several areas within Education Services.

Location – based at Saltisford Office Park, Warwick

Team 3 – provides holistic support to a number of teams across Education Services; we are flexible and agile. Tasks include email management, supporting meetings and event management, as well as team specific tasks.

All roles need to have the ability to support other teams as necessary across the Business Support Service.

Please note that due to Covid-19 and current Council/Government guidelines staff are currently working from home.

About Us and The Roles

All roles are part of the Education Services Hub for the Business Support Service. We deliver high quality, professional business support to teams across Education Services.

Teams in Education Services are strong, dynamic and supportive teams, dedicated to putting the child/young person and their family at the heart of the activity.

As part of the Business Support Service you will work to provide effective, flexible and responsive business support to one of the Council’s services, with the ability to support other teams as necessary.

We are looking for people who can work in a busy office where deadlines are crucial, you need to have excellent organisation and time management skills along with the experience of using a variety of windows-based computer systems e.g. word, excel and management information databases. Good attention to detail and producing work to a high standard is required as it the ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection requirements. The service areas which we support work with key teams within the Local Authority as well as educational settings (head teachers/special needs coordinators), professionals, other Local Authorities and external agencies.

As a Business Support Officer, you will be able to provide frontline support, giving advice and guidance. You will provide casework and/or administrative support with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. You should be a good communicator who is self-motivated, and solution focused with the ability to liaise and communicate in person/and or in writing a variety of information, including dealing with anxious/apprehensive customers in a sensitive manner.
