Your new role

We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Developer to join our growing Data team to enable us to delve deeper into our data and provide insights for us to continue to Improve Peoples’ Lives.

The key tasks in your new and exciting role with us:
Examine complex data and turn the data into information and insights

Develop Power BI models used for the different departments’ reporting

Use various sources to pull data into Power BI such as SQL Server, Dynamics 365, SQL Azure, etc

Install and configure Enterprise Gateway and Personal Gateway in Power BI Service

Create Workspace and Content Packs for business users to view the developed reports

Schedule Automatic Refresh and Scheduling Refresh in Power BI Service

Write Calculated Columns, Measures Queries in Power BI Desktop to show good data analysis techniques

Create stored procedures and SQL queries to pull data into Power Pivot Model

Extensively use Joins and Sub-Queries to simplify complex queries involving multiple tables

Transform complex business logic into Database design and maintain it by using SQL objects like Stored Procedures, User Defined Functions, Views, T-SQL Scripting and Jobs

Develop Excel Power View, Power Query and Power Pivot dashboards for data analysis

Perform Index analysis for tables and come up with more efficient solutions to use Clustered and Non-Clustered Indexes for significant performance boost using index tuning wizard

Create Reports using Charts, Gauges, Tables, Matrix

Create Parameterized Report, Dashboard Report, Linked report and Sub Report by Year, Quarter, Month, and Week

Create Drill Down Reports, Drill Through Report for multiple dimensions

Build data loading services for the purpose of importing data from numerous, disparate data sources, inclusive of APIs, logs, relational, and non-relational databases

Keep track of industry best practices and trends, and through acquired knowledge, take advantage of process and system improvement opportunities

Hopefully a description of you and your experience!:
Database design, interrogation & programming skills (relational database, advance select queries, indexes and constraints)

Ability to write advanced SQL including some query tuning

Expertise in writing complex DAX functions in Power BI and Power Pivot

Expert in creating and developing Power BI Dashboards in to rich look

Good understanding on the data warehouse concepts

Expertise in OLAP and OLAP Cubes

Experience in ad-hoc reports, data driven subscription reports

Experience in developing Dashboard Report, Parameterized Reports, Linked reports, Sub reports by Region, Year, Quarter, Month and Week

Developed U-SQL scripts for processing massive amounts of data in a very familiar environment which is mainly used for Azure Data Lake Analytics

Worked on creating Azure Data Factory for moving and transforming the data

Experience designing and building complete Extract & Loading processes using ADF & Extract, Transformation & Loading processes using SSIS

Previously worked with large data sets

Excellent problem solver able to analyse data, identify issues/opportunities, design and implement pragmatic solutions

Proven abilities to be pro-active, take initiative and be innovative within a team environment

Analytical mind within a problem-solving attitude with a keen eye for detail

Ability to work on several projects at the same time and prioritise effectively

Software experience

Must have

SSIS, AAS, DevOps, Advanced Excel, Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Azure SQL Server, Power BI, Tableau or similar BI tools, SSRS, SSAS, Azure Data Warehouse environment, Power apps, Git hub. Jira – Confluence
