Job Description

The main purpose of this role is to provide a central point for any facilities management issues including security and Health & Safety. As the sole RAF representative in AFCO you are also empowered to maintain a ‘front-of-office’ interface with potential RAF candidates, both prior to and following formal application to the RAF. In addition, the individual in this role is to field any enquiries or communications from external organisations including Jobcentres and Educational Establishments.

Responsibilities

Acting as co-ordination point for internal and external security matters, including supervision of CCTV, door codes and alarm systems, advising colleagues of any areas for concern, and acting as liaison point for civilian and military security organisations.

Coordinate building Health & Safety matters by carrying out Risk Assessments and ensuring Site safety briefs are delivered to all military and civilian AFCO visitors and staff.

Acting as site liaison for all Facilities Management issues, including raising Works requests, monitoring quality of works, cleaning contracts, furniture requests and office machinery on behalf of Facilities Manager.

Monitoring and implementing fire safety procedures and equipment in conjunction with military and civilian fire authorities.

Monitoring the maintenance of First Aid containers, in conjunction with the Parenting unit and ensuring all accident reporting procedures are followed as required by legislation and SROs.

Acting as site liaison for IT and communication systems, reporting any faults to C4i.

Maintain a ‘front-of-office’ interface with potential RAF candidates, both prior to and following formal application to the RAF.

Act as a Point of Initial Contact for external organisations including Jobcentres and Educational Establishments.

Maintain an accurate record of all Educational Establishments (EE) within the Area to information in the Area Outreach Plan.

Supporting candidate enquiries and where required updating DRS records in consultation with supporting AFCO.

Ensuring there is an up to date supply of RAF publications available within the AFCO.

Co-ordinate and monitor AFCO parking arrangements as applicable to premises.

Any other tasks commensurate with your grade as required on an ad-hoc basis.

Maintaining and complete all mandatory training undertaken, advising Officer Commanding of any training requirements.
