Job Description

Job Title: Lead Auditor

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 per week

Job Location: Field based – South East

Travel: Required as part of role to visit Client sites

Salary: As a Lead Auditor, you’ll receive a salary of between £38,000 and £51,908 + Company car / allowance

As a Lead Auditor for SGS in one of these specialists areas you’ll be responsible for planning and conducting professional management system audits in accordance SGS’ procedures to enable delivery of assessment and certification services that meet customer requirements and appropriate accreditation standards

You’ll Conduct audits (desk-based or on client’s sites) in accordance with the relevant ISO management system standard, and will provide specific technical support to expand the Company’s capability to offer valued services to customers.

You need to maintain a high standard of service delivery that ensures effective customer relationships and ongoing business development, and complete all chargeable work within the required budget and timeframes to ensure customer satisfaction and efficiency of the business, providing accurate and timely reporting to assist the planning and management of operations.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you’ll need (extensive and) recent experience;

Have held positions with significant Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental management system responsibility.

Demonstrate strong working knowledge and experience of ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 management system standards, compliance and auditing techniques.

Have a varied breadth of industry sector experience, ideally across the power generation or steelworks industries.

Qualified to Lead Auditor status in multiple management system standards such as 14001 and 9001, and qualified to the latest version of the standard.
