Purpose of the Role:
We’re looking for a driven, passionate and organised Assistant Photo Studio Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of our in-house photo studios at our Head Office in Dublin. Reporting into the Photo Studio & Production Manager, the Assistant Photo Studio Manager will have responsibility and accountability for the smooth running of our studios, and for leading a team of Photographers and Stylists in producing world-class fashion and lifestyle photography.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day running and administration of the photo studios to ensure they remain efficient.
Maintain a high standard of studio, equipment and propping.
Act as a key point of contact between the wider business and the studio, working closely with key stakeholders in the Creative and Brand teams building collaborative relationships across the business.
Work closely with the Lead Samples Co-Ordinator to manage workflow through the studio and ensure capacity is used appropriately and efficiently.
Responsible for budget management, recording and monitoring studio costs and ensuring the studio is run efficiently.
Lead and manage a team of talented and creative Photographers and Stylists, providing guidance and coaching and supporting development of the team.
Continually look to improve quality, processes, capabilities and efficiencies within the studio.
Assess workflow, troubleshoot and debrief keeping wider teams up to date with any impacts upon delivery of assets.
Where required liaise with agencies, freelance staff and other third-party service providers.
Effectively plan and book additional resource when required.
Ensure daily/weekly/monthly targets are met.
Ensure Studio Style Guides and Asset Rules are kept up to date in response to creative requirements.
Regularly review imagery with the photographic teams to ensure Studio Style Guides and Asset Rules are being adhered to and that a high quality of imagery is maintained throughout.
Work closely with the Assistant Production Manager to oversee production of in-house shoots.
Skills & Experience:
5+ years’ experience in a similar studio-based role, with 3+ years’ experience managing and leading a team.
Outstanding organisation and planning skills, with proven experience managing scheduling and booking in a large organisation.
Process-driven with experience of planning and scheduling.
Experience of resource and budget management.
Sound understanding of photographic and creative processes.
Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Able to build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive and positive mindset towards work.
Creative eye with outstanding attention to detail.
Passionate about creating world class fashion and lifestyle photography.
