Training Prospects an expanding independent Training Provider in the London area are exclusively recruiting for a Child Care Assessor/ Tutor . We deliver multiple contracts including Apprenticeships across a range of vocational areas. This is freelance role which offers a competitive salary for the right applicant. As a Child Care Assessor /Tutor you will be passionate and understand the importance of learning in apprenticeship.
As we are currently delivering mostly online, you will need to be confident in online delivery as well as using an eLearning platform. You can also expect to deliver one to one support to learners in their place of work. The delivery would be both via online learning and face to face delivery.
You willengage with learners and other relevant persons such as their manager and tutor to identify any learning barriers, strengths and weakness’ and support them to develop their core skills and achieve their apprenticeship qualification
Dutiesof Child Care Assessor / Tutor To effectively manage your own learner caseload, you will assess and support learners through their Childcare Vocational Apprenticeship within their workplace Deliver / support learners with Functional Skills (Maths / English) to level 2. Visiting/observing learners in their place of work to gather evidence towards their Apprenticeships. Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
Organise and maintain documentation on learners’ progress. Support, advise and motivate learners. Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs. Person, Skills and Experience
·Must bequalified in EYE or CYPWF Previous experience working within a Childcare / Early Years setting · Recognised Assessor Award (D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA).
·Able tomanage a caseload of up to 30 learners · Experienced with e-portfolio system · Proven track record with strong success rates · Knowledge of EPA and the knowledge, skills and behaviours required · Understanding of the standards · Experience and understanding of the EPA process · Ability deliver Functional Skills up to level 2.
