Area Management Support Officer Job at Bristol City Council – in Bristol
We have a vacancy for a full time 6 months temporary position.
A review of administrative posts is taking place across the council.
Children’s Services are seeking an enthusiastic person to work alongside the Area Managers and Deputy Area Manager at Ridingleaze House in Lawrence Weston, BS11 0QE. The successful applicant must have excellent ICT skills and ability to use initiative and prioritise competing demands.
As a member of the Area Management Team, you will provide a flexible, proactive and responsive support to make sure the service operates efficiently.
You will be able to multi-task and work under pressure. Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise a diverse workload in order to meet deadlines are essential for this role.
The support officer will need to regularly present information using statistics, mathematical calculations, percentages and tables and charts. Part of the role is to take minutes at large meetings and to format and present dictated notes. Diary management, liaising with a range of individuals, managing financial transaction and reconciling budgets are important aspects of the position.
The office offers a supportive, friendly environment and interesting and varied work.
