Purpose of the job

Effectively administer Regulatory and Legacy scheme processes in accordance with FC procedures. Comply with paying agency and EU rules.

Work with peers, area staff and the woodland sector to ensure high quality customer service and coordinated delivery of FC targets.

Key work areas

Ensure effective handling of administrative aspects of Regulations and Legacy scheme activity follow FC guidelines, processes and procedures and comply with legislation, scheme rules, paying agency, EU and internal audit requirements.

Follow financial controls which are in place. Provide effective case management after contract/licence approval – claim management, case closure, amendments, remote inspection, case review and closure by following national instructions.

Provide Regulations and Legacy customer service function for above activities, giving verbal and written advice and communication to customers. All administration to be carried out in accordance with customer service/citizens charter standards.

Liaison with area staff (particularly Woodland Officers) on technical issues and queries involving direct liaison with the customer e.g. inspections.

Deal with public enquiries, passing to area or other appropriate FC staff where necessary.

Essential:
Experience of delivering tasks across multiple processes and projects

Confidence in working with numerical and financial data to spot gaps and errors; preferably through relevant experience

Experience of applying administrative controls to processes

Proficient user of the MS Office suite of tools

Essential: A minimum of 5 GCSEs/Standard Grades or equivalent (A-C Passes)

including English & Maths or English Language is required and/or significant experience working in an administrative post.
