This is an exciting opportunity to join the Therapy & Rehabilitation Pathway’s Outpatient A&C Team within the Clinical Support Division as Office Supervisor. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self motivated individual on a full time permanent basis.
Main duties of the job
As an Admin Supervisor your role will be to ensure that a comprehensive administrative and clerical service is delivered within the Outpatient Teams in Therapy Services, to work autonomously, prioritising own and others workloads to achieve deadlines thus ensuring service requirements are met at all times.
You will require strong communication skills as this role entails liaising with a wide range of individuals including patients, members of the public, managers, and clinical staff.
This post will require you to work in a very busy environment and to undertake the day to day supervision of the Band 2 Admin Officers within the Service, working closely with the Band 4 Coordinator and other members of the A&C teams to ensure consistency and idea sharing across sites to support our services. It is expected that you will have strong IT skills and be confident in undertaking a range of computer based activities.
This is an fantastic opportunity for a person with excellent supervisory skills, sound communication , interpersonal and organisational skills.

The Outpatient Admin service is part of the Therapies and Rehabilitation Services pathway, which is one of the pathways that together make up the Clinical Support Division at NUH. We are a diverse pathway of AHPs and support staff, employing over 600 staff who work together to deliver the high quality care we aspire to. The Pathway is made up of our HCPC registered AHP professionals comprising of physiotherapists, dietitians, occupational therapists, orthotists, prosthetists and speech and language therapists, as well as our other staff encompassing professions such as nurses, psychologists, administrative and clerical and support workers.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To oversee the reception and booking admin teams, scheduling and prioritising workloads at all times and to ensure a presentable reception area is kept at all times
To support and cover for the band 4 admin co-ordinator as and when required
To supervise and coordinate the process all referrals including the coordination of appointments and organisation of clinics within therapy services working closely with clinical staff
To assist with management and amendment of clinical diaries throughout the year
To greet patients, visitors and staff arriving at the teams within therapy services and ensure the appropriate therapist, member of staff is aware of their …
